Twickenham Studio Promos |
Another
two day shoot at Twickenham to produce more promos. The songs this time
were 'Paperback Writer' (4 versions - 2 colour,
2 black and white) and 'Rain' (3 versions
- 2 colour, 1 black and white).

'Top of the Pops' |
The
Beatles appeared live on BBC's 'Top of the Pops' and mimed to 'Paperback
Writer' and 'Rain'. This was the last
time the band would appear to mime on a pop TV show. However, the BBC
would appear to have deleted the footage!

Die Beatles |
German
TV station ZDF filmed the second of two shows at the Circus-Krone-Bau
in Munich. Seven songs were included in the programme 'Die Beatles'. These
were 'Rock and Roll Music', 'Baby's in Black', 'I
Feel Fine', 'Yesterday', 'Nowhere Man', and 'I'm
Down'.

Nippon Budokan Hall, black suits show |
The
Beatles performed five show at the Nippon Budokan Hall, Tokyo and the
first two were filmed by Nippon TV. The first was the only show on 30
June and featured the regular set for the tour 'Rock
and Roll Music', 'She's A Woman', 'If I Needed Someone', 'Day Tripper',
'I Wanna Be Your Man', 'Baby's in Black', 'I Feel Fine', 'Yesterday',
'Nowhere Man', 'Paperback Writer' and 'I'm
Down'. This is comonly referred to as the 'black suits' show as
they were all dressed in black.

The second filmed show in Japan was the first show on 1 July and featured
the same set 'Rock and Roll Music', 'She's A Woman',
'If I Needed Someone', 'Day Tripper', 'I Wanna Be Your Man', 'Baby's in
Black', 'I Feel Fine', 'Yesterday', 'Nowhere Man', 'Paperback Writer'
and 'I'm Down'. This is comonly referred to
as the 'white suits' show as they were all dressed in err... white! |
